1. General description
Using vacuum as the arc-extinguishing medium, the VACJ5 series AC vacuum contactor has the following features:
Strong arc-extinguishing capability, good withstand voltage performance, large capacity, small size, lightweight, long life, anti-solid skepticism and braking capability, easy repair, safety, and reliability.
This contactor applies to an electrical power system with AC 50Hz, rated operating voltage 1140V, rated operating current 63 to 630A for remote making and breaking the circuit, as well as frequently starting and controlling the motor. It is particularly suitable for various protection devices to form electromagnetic starters with the advantages of no electric arc leakage and no noise, mainly used in the coal mine, petroleum, iron, and steel, metallurgy, chemical engineering, factories, and mines.
2. Usage range
Altitude: no more than 2000 m;
Environment temperature: not less than-5℃ or not more than +40℃, average value is no more than+30℃ in 24 hour.
Relative humidity: no more than 50% at +40℃, will be more higher at lower temperature;
Installation condition: Slant angle between installation surface and vertical surface is no more than 15°.
Places without extensive impact and vibration;
No gas or dust which can erode metal and damage insulation;
Places away from rain and snow;
Can operate in polluted environment.
3. Structure and working principles
This vacuum contactor is composed of vacuum interrupter, base, crutch,electromagnetic operating mechanism, auxiliary switch, rectifier device, switch-off, spring. Supplying 36V, 50Hz power to the contactor, the current changed into DC by rectifier device supplied to electromagnetic coil. Electromagnetic force overcomes closing spring force to drive moving armature actuation, crutch rotating, leading to main contact closing in the vacuum interrupter. Meanwhile, the NC contact of auxiliary switch opened by battledore, and the NO contact closed.When the power is off, electromagnetic actuation force disappeared, and the main contact opened recur to closing spring force, then the contactor at the opening state.
