1. General description
VACG3 series AC high voltage vacuum contactor (contactor for short) is applicable to electrical power system with AC 50~60 Hz, rated operating voltage 7.2kV~12kV, rated operating current up to 630A, which act as switch-on in long distance and breaking circuit, and suitable for motor and transformer of frequent operation.
2. Normal condition for usage
Environment temperature: -5℃~+40℃, and average value is no more than +35℃ within 24 hour.
Altitude: no more than 1000 m.
Atmospheric conditions: Relative air humidity is no more than 50% at +40℃, and will be more higher at lower temperature; monthly lowest humidity in the most wet month is no more than 90%, and condensation on the product due to temperature changes shall be considered.
Pollution degree: three grade.
Installation type:III.
Installation condition: slant angle between installation surface and vertical surface is no more than 15°.
Impact vibration: the place without extensive shaking, impact, and vibration.
3. The structure feature and working principle
A. The whole structure, working principle and working feature
The contactor adopts structure which sets in-coming wire and out-going wire in upper side and lower side respectively. This way has advantages of clear structure, easy installation and maintenance. Moving conductive rod of vacuum interrupter is connected by soft connection to lower out-going wire terminal, to form path of main circuit. Insulating shed is connected the dynamic conductive rod and drive mechanism, and insulating against ground. The high voltage side of insulating shed is connected to dynamic conductive rod inner screw of vacuum interrupter, and fixed with soft connection; while the other side is connected to operation mechanism. Electromagnet rotary squire shaft drives vacuum interrupter moving contact to achieve opening and closing operations.
B. Main part's structure, function and principles
a. Vacuum interrupter
The cover adopts rippled ceramic tube which is made of 95 porcelain insulating material. It has advantages of long distance of creep age,high mechanical strength, withstand thermal and shocking. Contact material adopts Cu-WC of anti-friction and low chopping current, which can reduce over voltage caused by cutting current during breaking while meets the breaking performance, to raise the electrical life of vacuum interrupter.
b. Electromagnetic system
Considering achieving cooperation of pull characteristic and inverse characteristic, as well as playing advantages of low noise and saving electricity during operation, the contactor adopts DC double coils operation system. In order to make it easier for users to communicate and operate, the contactor has rectifier device. At the early time of electromagnetic system closing, imposing full voltage, to keep actuation coil actuation in series circuit after closing operation.
c. Mechanical keeping
The actuation coil is power off after contactor closing, and actuation kept by mechanical locking. Then releasing the contactor. Tripping coil voltage at the range of Us85%~110% can release contactor reliably.
